Jordan Loyd (Monaco) returns to the Euroleague on Tuesday against Baskonia

Jordan Loyd is back. Affected in the back and operated on in the off-season, the American leader missed the start of the 2023-2024 financial year and made his return to the Betclic Elite courts at the end of October, before relapsing due to pain linked once again to his back. This time, the 30-year-old hopes to return to the Euroleague for good against Spanish club Baskonia on Tuesday.

Present on only five score sheets this season, Loyd will replace Mike James (19.6 points and 5.2 assists) who is too alone in creation and scoring. Elie Okobo, suspended after a clash with several teammates after the defeat at Olympiakos (73-75), is not in the group. The former Belgrade player will have a good card to play alongside his compatriot Kemba Walker and Matthew Strazel, also back.

Sasa Obradovic’s players are currently in 8th place in the Euroleague with 10 wins and 9 losses. The Roca Team hopes to secure the top 6, synonymous with direct qualification for the play-offs.
