Joventut ends Unicaja’s streak

MADRID, 20 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Unicaja lost this Saturday after stringing 14 consecutive victories in the Endesa League at the hands of Joventut (85-81), who put a stop to Malaga’s streak on matchday 19 of the Endesa League, where Dreamland Gran Canaria won (91 -80) to UCAM Murcia for fourth place in the classification.

Ibon Navarro’s men found the end of their spectacular streak in Badalona. Ante Tomic (20 points and 28 PIR) led the local comeback, after Unicaja started in control in the first quarter (17-28). Evans (15 points), Andrews (14) and Feliz (14) accompanied the ‘Penya’ in the great game, which regains momentum after being left without the Copa del Rey.

Meanwhile, in a direct duel in the noble zone, ‘Granca’ left a choral performance and two good initial quarters, the first and the third, to overcome a UCAM that had just defeated the leader Real Madrid. The yellow team became stronger after the break and added their twelfth victory of the season, with Albicy (16 points and 20 rating) as the most outstanding player.

On the other hand, Lenovo Tenerife pulled on its tireless duo, Shermadini and Huertas, to beat Monbus Obradoiro (86-97). The center (22 PIR) and the point guard (14 points, six rebounds, four assists and 15 PIR) excelled in Fontes do Sar. Fitipaldo (19 and 15 rating) was not far behind, leaving the Galicians stuck in the relegation zone.

In addition, the ACB day left this Saturday with a long-suffering victory for BAXI Manresa at the home of Zunder Palencia (88-95), where the bottom team fought until the end on the back of Pasecniks again. Badio (29 points and 29 rating) responded to the local star and those from Manresa look eighth after the last two defeats.
