The restaurant of ‘First Dates’ has witnessed the meeting between Jael, 64 years old who is defined as a very hard-working, humble, simple, happy, fun person who has not done very well in love; and of Manuel, 67 years oldwho was an amateur boxer when he was young and who has worked in construction, but is now retired.
They both understood each other from the first moment, although when they met they seemed a little nervous. “Physically I’m attracted to her, she’s a woman I like”, was Manuel’s first impression when he saw Jael. And after his first exchange of words, it was time to sit down to dinner.
Jael and Manuel were looking for goodness in their partner, something that it seemed they had found in each other. They had dinner and talked about their lives, of the things they shared with each other and the aspirations they see for the future when talking about love. “I liked Manuel because I see that he is a simple, calm man,” she said after sharing her first moments with him.
Manuel was clear that he was liking his date more and more as he discovered her and the date progressed, so much so that there were times when he was even left speechless. “I was waiting for a woman like you, a woman who takes care of herself, who is educated, who has a good heart,” he confessed and was honest: “You are very pretty, you look younger. For my part, they have got it right, I really like what I see. And I didn’t think I was going to be so stopped, I’m a very talkative person and I was captivated.”
“I see you well, you are a calm man, don’t worry. “I don’t like a bad character, for the remaining part of life you have to live it in the best possible way and in good company,” she told him and the time came for the final decision. They had both been very comfortable on the date and this was reflected in the decision, they decided to have a second date to get to know each other better outside of the restaurant.
