Accompanied by two lawyers, he met with Puerto Plata city prosecutors and was placed under arrest by authorities.
Wander Franco did not show up for a meeting with the Santo Domingo Specialized Prosecutor for Children and Adolescents on Thursday, so that is why he was arrested. Monday’s interview lasted nearly three hours according to the Associated Press.

Franco must be presented to a judge within 48 hours, according to Dominican law.
