NFL journalist Doug Kyed shared terrible news a few days ago: his 2-year-old daughter, Hallie, died. According to her father, she had been fighting since April of last year with acute myeloid leukemia, which became complicated in the last week and caused the little girl’s death.
Kyed announced the terrible event on the morning of January 22, although the little girl died on the 21st. “Hallie died peacefully in her sleep, on Sunday morning, while Jen and I were holding her hand in bed,” explained the journalist in his official X account.
“We are completely lost and heartbroken without Hallie. Our lives will never be the same. Hallie was a very special child and had a positive impact on so many people. We were lucky to be her parents and Olivia knows she was lucky to have the best little sister.” , added the reporter.
The little girl’s health was extremely compromised when she had a bone marrow transplant, however, the family was confident that she could improve little by little “due to how brave, strong and resilient Hallie had been during these nine months.”

Hallie was treated at Boston Children’s Hospital, however, “chemotherapy after the transplant was ineffective.” The doctors did everything they could to help Hallie’s health improve, but everything got complicated.
According to Kyed himself on his social networks, things “got out of control”, the leukemia became more aggressive and that is why the little girl died a few days ago.
According to Boston Herald, little Hallie’s funeral will be this Friday, January 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The source added that it will be at the “Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home” in the city of Franklin, Massachusetts.
