The Indonesian U-20 national team, through head coach Indra Sjafri, has again called Eko Purdjianto to help the team in the Garuda Nusatara training camp which is taking place in Jakarta. The PSIS Semarang Assistant Coach received a call to accompany the coaching team.
Liputan6.com, Jakarta The Indonesian U-20 National Team has been holding a training camp in Jakarta from 30 December 2023 to 28 January 2024. PSIS welcomes the call from PSSI for one of their coaching staff.
“We certainly fully support the calling of coach Eko to help with coaching the U-20 national team. Hopefully it will be useful for the national team and at PSIS itself, another team of coaches will handle it to help run the program from coach Gilbert Agius,” said PSIS Semarang CEO Yoyok Sukawi as quoted by Antara.
Eko Purdjianto’s summons was based on an official letter from PSSI with number 08/AGB/02/I-2024 to the management of PSIS Semarang. Apart from Eko Purdjianto, PSIS Semarang also sent a physical trainer, Alex Aldha Yudi, to the U-20 National Team training camp.
A total of 34 players are included in the Garuda Nusantara squad starting to undergo TC from December 30 2023 until ending on January 28. Later, the players who are part of the current squad will compete for their respective positions in the promotion and relegation selection system.
This training camp is intended to prepare for the AFF U-19 Cup, AFC U-19 Qualifications and entry into the U-20 World Cup Qualifications.
