Raptors win 124-121 against Cavaliers; Debut for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley

TORONTO – Pascal Siakam scored 36 points and the Toronto Raptors won 124-121 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday in the team debut of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.

Barrett finished the game with 19 points and nine rebounds, two days after being traded to the Raptors (13-20) by the New York Knicks. Quickley finished the game with 14 points.

Scottie Barnes added 20 points for the Canadian team, which saw six players score 10 or more points, including Jakob Poeltl, who finished his evening with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Donovan Mitchell performed well for the Cavaliers (18-15) with 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Caris LeVert scored 31 more for his team.

Siakam made a three-pointer with three seconds left in the first quarter and the Raptors led 41-32 at the end of the first quarter.

It was the most points the Raptors have scored in a first quarter this season.

Barnes reached the 3,000 career point mark with 5:33 left in the third quarter. He is the second youngest in Raptors history to reach this milestone. Chris Bosh is the youngest person to achieve the feat. Siakam scored 13 of his points in the third quarter.

CHA: Miles Bridges was the engine of the Hornets’ offense with 26 points and nine rebounds.
DEN: Jamal Murray scored 25 points in 27 minutes on the court.

Trail Blazers 88 – Suns 109
POR: Tough game for the Blazers, who made only eight of their 30 shots from downtown.
PHO: Bradley Beal scored 21 points. Kevin Durant was out for this game due to a leg injury.

Mavericks 90 – Jazz 127
DAL: Luka Doncic had 19 points and 14 rebounds, but made only six of his 20 shots.
UTA: Jordan Clarkson scored the Jazz’s first hat-trick since 2008 with a performance of 20 points, 11 assists and 10 points.
