Just yesterday we told you about one current rumor to a possible remake of Sonic Generations, the anniversary title released in 2011 that brings together classic and modern Sonic. The game should probably take place tomorrow State of Play to be announced, but there is already news from the rumor mill today.
So “MbKKssTBhz5”, a trustworthy leaker for titles from SEGA and Atlus, has poured further fuel on the fire. In a post onSonic x Shadow Generations“ and refers to an internet address with the same name. The website has so far refused access, but it is active, which supports the rumor.
Kurakasis, another insider, also revealed the title today after hinting at it yesterday via “SxSG.” Shpeshal_Nick, who originally originated the rumor, subsequently reposted Kurakasis’ post, which can be seen as confirmation that his cryptic clue from yesterday referred to this title.
Even if there is now some evidence that the rumor is authentic, the information should still be treated with caution. If the game name is correct, Shadow should play a larger role in the new edition. This would go well with his appearance in the third Sonic movie at the end of the year, which is based on Sonic Adventure 2.
