Sagesse’s Setback Leads to Triple Tie in Lebanese Basketball Leadership

On the tenth round, the combination of Sagesse’s setback and the triumphs of Al Riyadi and Beirut led to a triple tie for the leadership of the competition, which entered its second round.

Antonine Institute surprised the leader Sagesse 80-79 with a comeback in the final quarter (16-20, 22-24, 20-22 and 22-13); Meanwhile, Al Riyadi beat Mayrouba 104-73 and Beirut defeated NSA 103-92.

In other matches, Antranik beat Hoops 86-78 and Maristes beat Homentmen 88-84.

At an individual level, Maristes’ American reinforcement, Javion Blake, was the top scorer of the tenth round with 38 points, thanks to 13 baskets in 21 attempts, in addition to contributing eight rebounds and seven assists.

Others who stood out on the day were the captain of Beirut, Ali Haidar, owner of 33 points, as well as his teammate the Jordanian Dar Tucker and the American from Antranik, Christian Harvey, both with 29 cards.

Under the boards, Nigerian center Chukwudubem Ckeke (Hoops) added 15 rebounds to stand out in this section, while Tunisian Radhouane Slimane (Sagesse) and local Elijah Holman captured 11 each.
