San Lorenzo added Iván Tapia, Chiqui’s son | Arrive from Barracas with the pass in your possession

The hitchhiker Iván Tapia, one of the figures of Barracas Central, will become a San Lorenzo footballer, as confirmed by the Boedo club.

The son of Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia, president of the AFA, was left with the pass in his possession after completing the last season at Guapo.

Tapia is 25 years old, plays as an offensive midfielder and spent his entire career at Barracas, with which he rose from the First C to the Professional League: he played 191 games, scored 23 goals and finished as team captain.

San Lorenzo also agreed to incorporate midfielder Cristian Ferreira on loan, especially requested by coach Rubén Insúa, and winger Alexis Cuello, who will join the squad in the week prior to the debut in the League Cup.

Ferreira, 24, arrives on loan for one year from River, which renewed his contract after his return from Newell’s. The man from Córdoba – also with a past in Colón de Santa Fe – was chosen by the Barça coach because of his ability to execute the set piece.

For his part, Cuello, 23 years old and trained at Racing Club, comes from Almagro, of the Primera Nacional, with whom he participated in 35 games and registered eight goals.

Ferreira and Cuello join the list of San Lorenzo reinforcements that already included Cristian Tarragona, Eric Remedi, Jhohan Romaña, Nicolás Hernández, Gastón Gómez and Sebastián Blanco, who has not yet signed a contract.

Furthermore, in the next few hours a new contract will be resolved: that of forward Christian Ortiz, 33 years old and from Tijuana, Mexico after a long career in South American soccer.

The team returned this Friday from Montevideo, where they spent part of the preseason. San Lorenzo will debut in the League Cup at home to Lanús next Saturday the 27th.
