Kasper Schmeichel has already received quite a bit of criticism at Anderlecht. Not right, according to Simon Mignolet.
The Club Brugge goalkeeper has his opinion ready about Schmeichel. “Kasper is a goalkeeper who plays on his experience and has good positional play,” Mignolet explains in Het Laatste Nieuws.
“People talk a lot about diving here, but if you stand correctly, you often don’t even have to dive. You even have a better chance if you stay straight than if you gamble and go ‘low’. Kasper knows what he can and what he can’t can.”
“He will not anticipate taking that ball out of the square, because out of a hundred times he would only have it ten times. Kasper prefers to focus on everything that is within his reach and on the build-up of taking care of things backwards. That is its added value.”
