South Africa in demonstration against Namibia

South Africa, beaten by Mali (2-0) in the first match, relaunched brilliantly on Sunday in Korhogo (Ivory Coast) by beating Namibia 4-0 during the 2nd day of Group E of the African Cup of Nations.

As a result, Bafana Bafana climbs from fourth to second place, tied on points (3) with their opponents of the day who won 1-0 against Tunisia on the opening day. Mali is first in the group with four points after its draw against Tunisia (1-1) on Saturday, and before the last day next Wednesday which will feature the Namibia-Mali and South Africa-Tunisia posters.

At the Amadou Gon Coulibaly stadium, the South Africans led 3-0 at half-time. Percy Tau opened the scoring with a penalty awarded after viewing the video assistance for a handball from Riaan Hanamub (14th). Themba Zwane aggravated the score with an unstoppable recovery from the penalty spot on a cross from Thapelo Morena (25th). Zwane then scored a double and stunned the Namibians with an overflow on the left side of the area and a curling shot from the right (40th).

Bafana Bafana closed the scoring and their demonstration with Thapelo Maseko, launched from afar, who went to deceive the Namibian goalkeeper Lloyd Junior Kazapua (76th).
