Star Defensive Back TJ Watt Sidelined with Knee Injury: Steelers’ Wild Card Game in Jeopardy

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their star defensive back TJ Watt to a knee injury he suffered in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, whom they defeated 17-10.

An MRI revealed that Watt suffered a grade 2 sprain of the medial collateral ligament, the injury is considered several weeks off, his brother JJ Watt revealed.

So he is out of the Wild Card round game that they have agreed for this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium (1:00pm ET United States; 12:00pm Mexico | CBS).

TJ fell badly after colliding with his teammate, was checked in the medical tent on the field and walked to the locker room where minutes later he was ruled out to return to the game.

The 2021 Defensive Player of the Year racked up two sacks before leaving the game, Watt led the league with 19 sacks this season.
