Surprise at the Australian Open! Swiatek, the world number one, falls to Noskova

The Polish Iga Swiatek, number one in the ranking, said goodbye to the Australian Open in the third round of the tournament when she fell to the young Czech tennis player Linda Noskova, 6-3, 3-6 and 4-6, in two hours and twenty-two minutes.

Swiatek, champion three times at Roland Garros and once at the United States Open, once again suffered a lot against Noskova as she did in the previous round against the American Danielle Collins, with whom she was on the verge of losing.

Noskova, 50 in the world, played a very complete match with ten direct serves, 73% winning points on the first serve and 62 service points won, numbers much higher than those of the Pole, who finished with 34 winning shots and 33 unforced errors.

Swiatek won the first set but in the second and third she was surpassed by Noskova, who continues steadily towards the round of 16, demonstrating the future potential she has due to her youth.

This is the first defeat of the season for Swiatek, who arrived in Melbourne after winning all five of his matches in the United Cup
