She looked back on a significant moment in her life. Last summer, when Spain was crowned world champion, Jenni Hermoso (33) celebrated the success when her president, Luis Rubiales (46), kissed her during the ceremony. A case which brought the Spanish leader to justice. He defended himself by contradicting the version of the Iberian player. During an interview with the Planeta Calleja program, her first on television since this affair, Jenni Hermoso recounted what was supposed to be the“the best moment of his life”but that she had “no idea what was going to happen next”.

“I denounced because I followed my values”she first assured, before talking about the pressure she subsequently suffered. “I spoke to him (Luis Rubiales) on the plane. He told me to make a video, that nothing was wrong, that I had to do it for his daughters, who were crying in the back of the plane. I told him I wasn’t going to do it. I hadn’t caused anything. He asked me to think about it, to say that it was an act of spontaneity. I then felt more pressure. In Ibiza he continues, I tell my agent to do whatever it takes to leave me alone. He continues to insist (…) I had to leave Madrid, I’m going to Malaga. I have to run away even though I haven’t done anything.”
