The Spanish track cycling team will go with six cyclists to the Nations Cup that will be held in the Australian town of Adelaide from February 2 to 4 and which is one of the most important events of this start of the season since it is within the qualifying process for the Paris Olympic Games this summer.
The Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) recalled that in 2024 each of the three events of this UCI world circuit take on special relevance due to their importance to be in the French capital, which will cause their competitive level to be very high.
The Spanish team, led by national coach Félix García Casas, will go to Adelaide with an expedition made up of long-distance runners Eukene Larrarte (Omnium), Isabel Ferreres (Madison), Laura Rodríguez (Elimination and Madison), Erik Martorell (Elimination, Omnium and Madison) and Francesc Bennassar (Madison), and the sprinter Helena Casas (Individual Speed and Keirin).
It was planned in the planning carried out by the technical staff of the Spanish track team that the sprinter Alejandro Martínez would also come to Adelaide, but he will ultimately not be able to travel due to injury.
