Preparing for the black belt is another facet of judo where you can also flourish, it is not just about competition and moreover this was not the initial objective of Jigoro Kano, founder of the Judo.
To obtain the black belt or higher grades, you must satisfy 4 different value units. Once these UVs have been obtained, the recipient can wear the black belt.
These units of value are as follows:
UV1: Kata (imposed expression)
UV2: Technical (knowledge of the technical nomenclature and more depending on the grades)
UV3: Effectiveness in combat (100 points to accumulate in competition for the 1st dan)
UV4: Knowledge of the environment (carry out refereeing training and simulation for the 1st dan)
This weekend took place a UV3 “combat effectiveness” exam, 7 fighters were present, the points are accumulated in order to obtain the precious black belt and the higher “dan”

Mélina 10 pts / 1st dan
Simon 10 pts / 1er and
Jérôme and Pierre-Yves failed to score, don’t get discouraged and persevere, it will come.
