The Record-Breaking Seventh Edition of the Saint-Nolff National Tournament: A Weekend of Intense Badminton Action

Saint-Nolff national tournament, Saturday and Sunday

The seventh edition of the Saint-Nolff national tournament takes place this weekend in both Saint-Nolff and Elven. This will be a record edition for the organization, since nearly 500 players will participate in the meeting. Never seen.

And the contingent could have been larger according to the president of the organizing club Dominique Kiry. “I could have taken more. And there are also players on the waiting list. But that would have made for crazy hours. It would have been too complicated to manage. I have nine series in men’s singles, eight series in mixed, seven in men’s and women’s doubles… Fortunately, we have 17 courts with the two halls,” he explains.

A Termet-Glaziou rematch?

As for the participants, Victor Reichert (Saint-Jacques) and Malaury Termet (Sternes Ploubaz) will come for another success after their victory in Auray in mid-December. But Lauriane Glaziou (Relecq-Kerhuon), beaten at the end of a hotly contested final (22-24 in the 3rd set), will certainly be revengeful.

Thomas Jourdren (Trégunc BC) will be present in singles and doubles with his friend Nils Tostivint (BC Rostrenen). The pairs Michael Phomsoupha (AO Saint-Nolff) – Baptiste Roturier (Guichen BDC) for the men, and Zélie Deléon – Louane Turpin (Saint-Jacques) for the women, are also expected.
