Nikola Topic: Seine Stats 2023/24
Topic recently won big at the FIBA junior level (including U18 European Championship MVP) and played so well for Mega Basket in the Adriatic League that Crvena Zvezda decided to end the loan early. This meant that Topic was also able to prove itself at the EuroLeague level. However, the Serb suffered a knee injury in the eternal derby against Partizan, which forced him to sit out for around two months. That’s a shame, as it still lacks a measure of how good the youngster already is.
The Adriatic League is no longer at the level it was a few years ago, but it was still impressive how Topic dominated here. The teenager is not particularly explosive, but has good handling and a high IQ. Question marks remain about his throwing and defensive limits – despite the length.
So it would be helpful if Topic could intervene in the action again. If a team is convinced that Topic can also be a good scorer in the NBA, then it could also be enough for the top pick. A baller from the Balkans called Nikola – what could go wrong?
