UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia Ready to Face Virtus Segafredo Bologna in First Match of 2024

Everything is ready for the first match of 2024 for UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia, who will face Virtus Segafredo Bologna in front of a PalaBigi that has already been sold out for days.

This is how coach Dimitris Priftis presented the challenge: “Virtus needs no introduction. We find ourselves faced with the best team in the entire Euroleague to date. It will be an extremely demanding match, we will have to face it with the utmost seriousness, concentration and energy. After the match against Venezia, I believe that the team showed a desire to improve, making progress both in attack and defense and taking the right path. This led us to win important matches, before reaching the final day in Varese, a truly disappointing match where we took away all the trust and security that these progress had built. The important thing for us therefore is to keep our feet on the ground, be realistic and continue to work hard, thinking more about ourselves than about our opponents. This will allow us to find stability and balance again. But above all, we want and must regain competitiveness.”

Lo Guzzo, Paglialunga and Bettini are the three referees appointed for the match, which will be broadcast live on DAZN.

The gates of the PalaBigi will open to the public at 5.15pm.

The advice for spectators, given the soldout, is to arrive at the sports hall early in order to facilitate the influx.
