VIDEO ⟩ Liechtenstein’s bobsledder narrowly escapes a major accident

In St. Moritz, the Liechtenstein foursome made their debut in a competition of this scale. Unfortunately, the first start for the team did not go as planned.

Namely, during the run-in of the track, Liechtenstein’s bobsledders had problems with getting into the sled. Two athletes tried to get to the same place, as a result of which one of the bobsledders fell and ended up on the ice. His hand was under the bob for a moment and could have been run over with an incline, but the athlete managed to react.

He saved himself from a potentially major disaster. Everything could have ended much worse…

German pilot Johannes Lohner is the leader in the World Cup standings with 1095 points, while his compatriot Francesco Friedrich has 25 points less, while Tsipulis is third with 968 points. 696 points gives Jēkabs Kalends 11th position and second place in the junior standings.
