Badminton Asia Team Championships (BATC) 2024 will be held soon. Below is the complete schedule.
After going through a busy schedule last January, the Asian badminton teams are now shifting their focus to the next championship. This time there is BATC 2024, which will take place in Shah Alam, Malaysia, from 13-18 February.
In the 2024 BATC schedule from Tuesday (13/2) to Thursday (15/2), the group stage for the men’s team and women’s team will be held first.
At BATC 2024, the Indonesian men’s team will join Group D with South Korea, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the women’s team is in Group X with Hong Kong and Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, the quarter-finals will take place on Friday (16/2), and the final round will take place on Sunday (18/2).
AT BATC 2024, the Indonesian Team fielded its 20 best athletes, who will fill the men’s and women’s teams, and set a target of qualifying for the group first before finally setting a higher target.
The Red and White women’s team itself has the status of defending champion in the Asian Team Championship this time. Meanwhile, the men’s team is runner up, after being defeated by Malaysia in the last edition 0-3.
“Yes, the only thing that is certain is that we want to win again, other countries will also think the same. For that, we want to show our best,” said women’s singles Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo to reporters when met at the PBSI National Training Center, Cipayung.
