Angevines show resilience in victory over Charnay

As we indicated during our presentation, the Angevines were keen to show a different face from that displayed last weekend in Villeneuve d’Ascq (106-66 defeat). This was done in the first half against Charnay as they were up to 19 points ahead less than 5 minutes before the break (40-21).

After a cropping of Stephane LEITE in the locker room, Diana BALAYERA (19 points, 9 rebounds) and the Charnaysiennes wanted to recover by returning to the floor of the Jean BOUIN room. So much so that after 30 minutes, the CBBS had reduced the gap (59-45, 30′) and we felt that it was not going to stop there. His captain Coralie CHABRIER (11 points including 3/3 at 2 points) also got involved and at the end of the match, it was the teammates of Jasmine BAILEY (13 points, 11 rebounds) and Leila LACAN (15 points, 6 assists) who started to shake. But in experience, Julie WOJTA (6 points, 7 rebounds) took the money time into his own hands to allow his team to keep up the pace and win while still playing with fire.
