In boxing, he is among the biggest Czech aces, and in the world he belongs to the wider top. Vasil Ducár is a brand caught between the ropes, but now he wants to build a name in the cage as well. Already this weekend, he will revive his MMA memories in Liberec, fighting at the tournament of the famous organization KSW. The veteran cornerback jumps into his sixth bout under MMA rules. Former kickboxer Dawid Kasperski will be waiting for him in the cage, for whom the prime minister is waiting in the cage. In kickboxing, he participated in twenty-six matches, won the WAKO belt and also fought in the famous Glory organization. Now he will add KSW to his CV.

Preparations before the fight are at their peak, media duties are also in full swing. One of the biggest European organizations knows very well that it has caught a big fish in its net, which is why it spent the day with Vasil before the debut match.

“I want to make matches, good matches, have fun with it, entertain the fans,” said Vasil in the introduction thirty minutes videos that chart his preparation ahead of this weekend’s fight.

Ducár is used to delivering hard bombs, deciding matches with his punches. But now he will have to change his mindset, adjust to a complex fight. The elite heavyweight, Viktor Pešta, also helps him with this transformation.

“It’s absolutely great, because I can try out a lot of techniques. As the ground dominates me over Viktor, it’s easy. I can deepen the techniques and it’s great,” Ducár was in a good mood. “That’s right, he kicked Viktor out of the cage,” laughed coach Jiří Paluska. “That’s how the whole sparring was yesterday,” agreed Pest.

“This was one of the secret techniques. It’s a helicopter, I plan to use it in the match as well,” Ducár continued with a smile. The atmosphere before the fight is great. Training is accompanied by hard work, but it is seasoned with laughter and good mood.

Vasil wants to have fun with cage fighting and preparation. However, he does not forget his boxing career either. “We don’t take it as an obstacle, Vasil will continue to box normally. It certainly won’t affect his performance. I think that in terms of endurance, it will also be beneficial for his boxing career,” emphasized the benefits of MMA promoter of the Patron Boxing stable, Patrik Knopp.

In the ring, the 34-year-old warrior collected 15 wins, 7 defeats and 2 draws, but now it’s MMA’s turn. “KSW approached me a year ago. They invited me to events, I saw the Colosseum and thought it was great. And I didn’t want to blame myself when I was old that I could wrestle there too. I’d rather try than not you blamed yourself,” Ducár smiled.

Will his smile last until Saturday?
