BAARN While team 1 played safely in the 4th division on the last day, the two other teams competed in the upper regions.
The men’s team (photo) took on Almere 2 in the fourteenth and final round. Jeroen Dirks and Ralph Oostheim started with a ‘false start’, they were defeated in three sets. After that, the experienced men were no longer able to compete. Sander Coppoolse and Arthur Pollen overcame their opponents 21-7 and 21-12. Ralph and Jeroen took revenge in the singles by triumphing in two sets. The other parties were also prey for Inside. Final score 7-1. This puts them in second place. This season they only lost twice to champion Hoevelaken.
Team 2 (8th division) also managed to take second place. After the impressive 4-4 a week earlier against champion Loosdrecht, Selby 1 (Soest) was defeated 7-1 in its own Geerenhal.
The young, Feline Lichtendahl made her debut at senior level. Together with Anneke Dingemanse she won the doubles, followed by a nice three-set win in the singles. She was also successful in mixed doubles with Edwin van Brakel.
Around Wildenburg was also in good shape this evening, he managed to win all three games without losing a set. Anneke has been in good form all season, winning 24 of her 29 matches.
This team also consists of Claudia van Moorst. She dropped out halfway through the competition with a nasty injury and hopes to make her return this calendar year. Kirsten Wildenburg made her comeback, 10 years later she has completely regained the joy of playing. This season she won 16 of her 32 matches.
