In this year of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, the city of Lyon is preparing to welcome several foreign delegations.
Paris 2024 is approaching… and with it, the preparation of many foreign delegations. Many have chosen France to make their mark. The city of Lyon is not to be outdone, which has several high-level facilities listed as Games Preparation Centers (CPJ).
Thus, from February to July, Lyon will receive three delegations: the Taiwan artistic gymnastics team will be present at the Vorontzov Gymnasium (Lyon 8th) from February 26 to March 4. The Armenian athletics team will take up residence at the CPJ Halle Diagana-Stade Balmont (Lyon 9th) from April 20 to 27. Finally, the Japanese artistic gymnastics team, reigning world team champion, will also be present in its entirety at the Vorontzov Gymnasium from July 15 to 19, and in smaller groups until July 27.
Discussions with other delegations
The City of Lyon continues to respond to requests for its CPJ-referenced equipment and to prospect in particular for the Mado Bonnet Gymnasium (Lyon 8th), capable of hosting a national basketball team and the Plaine des Jeux de Gerland (Lyon 7th) for rugby sevens. These pre-Olympic courses in the sports facilities made available by the City will allow foreign delegations to acclimatize and prepare as best they can for the Games.
