Paris 2024 Olympic Games: a new phase of ticket sales opens this Thursday, February 8

Preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games continues. This Thursday, February 8, two important meetings are on the program: the discovery of future medals, which will adorn the necks of those who will appear on the podiums in Paris, and the opening of a new phase of ticket sales. This is the home stretch for Paris 2024 ticketing. In total, of the 10 million tickets available, 8 million have already been sold. To sell off what’s left, several meetings will be offered to fans, with each time a certain number of tickets available.

The first of these windows is therefore scheduled for this Thursday, February 8, on the official ticketing website. The other dates are not yet known, the organizers wanting to keep the “surprise” and only revealing them a few days before. Tickets for all sports, but not all sessions, will be offered in each sale. As Paris 2024 writes: “Attend the Paris 2024 Equestrian Sports events in the gardens of the Château de Versailles, Judo at the Champ-de-Mars Arena with the Eiffel Tower in the background, Breaking on the Place de la Concorde, or even Fencing under the majestic nave of the Grand Palais, it’s still possible! »

However, prepare yourself because for certain disciplines, very few tickets will be available. You will therefore have to be on time to hope to obtain one or more precious sesames. Kick-off is scheduled for 10 a.m. 95% of the tickets on sale concern events planned in Île-de-France, while 45% will be offered for less than 100 euros. No draw is planned, first come first served.

If you have already purchased tickets previously, do your accounts carefully, as it will be impossible to acquire more than 30 tickets with the same ticketing account. And previous purchases count too! For ceremony enthusiasts, places for both the opening and closing ceremonies will be available.

Please note that for certain team sports, whose events are organized in the provinces, tickets are permanently available. This is particularly the case for football, whose matches will be played in Nantes, Marseille, Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Bordeaux and Nice. In Lille, it is also already possible to reserve your place for basketball or handball events. This permanent sales system is also planned for the Paralympic Games. Tickets from 15 euros are available for sale.
