With these results, the people from Huelva remain third in the Primera Plata classification with 12 points, behind Mercapinturas Almería and Astures, tied at 18 points.

For its part, Recreativo IES La Orden C swept the scoreboard against Palencia and Tenzul El Rosario 7-0, but narrowly missed victory against Club del Mar San Amaro, who won 3-4. The albiazul team consolidates its position in second place in the First Bronze table behind Escola Rosalía Peixes Vimar.

The sports director of the Huelva club, Paco Ojeda, highlights the magnificent performance demonstrated by both teams, made up of 91% of players trained in the quarry, which has allowed them to be among the best and have options to compete for promotion in both divisions.

On the other hand, Ojeda assures that the organization of this “macro day” of the league, by the Recreativo IES La Orden and the Spanish Badminton Federation, in collaboration with the City Council of the capital and the Andalusian Badminton Federation, has been a complete success. More than 200 athletes from 24 teams from all over Spain gathered at the Carolina Marín Sports Palace over the weekend, joined by the referee team, volunteers and other members of the organization. “We have been pioneers in launching two days of the national league on the same weekend and almost all the teams have congratulated us for how well we have been able to compete,” he says. In this sense, he appreciates the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Huelva city council, which has used all available means to make it possible once again to hold a badminton event at the highest level.
