The Rheintaler Judo and Ju-Jitsu Club won a lot of precious metal at the championships. The coaches Andreas Kamber, Christian Kamber, Andri Halter, Sascha Walker and Alessia Schmid traveled to St. Gallen with 18 fighters, spread across all age categories, and wrote a success story there.
The Hartmann brothers won three gold medals. The only six-year-old but passionate Keanu Hartmann showed that he was in no way inferior to his older brothers and impressed with his versatile technique. He defeated two opponents with his special throw Harai-Goshi. He performed the technique once on the left and once on the right, which is remarkable at this young age. He also won a victory on the ground using a holding technique. His brother Diego Hartmann won two fights with Seoi-Nage (shoulder throw) and countered his opponent in the third fight with Tani-Otoshi.
Liam Hartmann showed in two fights that he is a consistent ground fighter. He won with two holding techniques. He won the third fight standing with O-Soto-Gari. The boys and their father were beaming from ear to ear when they were called three times at the ranking announcement.

Six-year-old Samara Walker from Diepoldsau gave her opponents no chance and also won gold. She won all three fights with superiority. So she repeatedly used her O-Soto-Gari (large outer crescent) and, if necessary, skillfully supplemented this with an immediate transition to a holding technique. With her offensive fighting style, she gave her opponents little opportunity to mount an attack. Helena Zäch won the gold medal in the U15 category.
In two fights she was clearly superior and won early with Ippon. The third opponent demanded a lot from her, but Helena Zäch always remained focused and took advantage of an opportunity to score with a Seoi Otoshi. She defended this advantage hard until the end of the fight.
The silver medal went to Luca Zuberbühler, Hiranur Demirsoy, Lien Giovanon, Freya Kronenberg and Jed Belazi in the student category. At the elite level, Giuseppe Lavanga from Balgach won silver on his tournament debut. The students Nils Müller, Fabio Nägeli, Cyrill Schmid, Jeschua Möckel and Jerome Dietsche won bronze. In the youth U18 category, this medal was achieved by Nika Mettier from Berneck, and in the elite category by Yury Molodtsov from Heerbrugg.
