Last Saturday, February 10, the First Phase of the Navarra Sports Games took place in the Alevín category, judokas between 11 and 12 years old, at the Trinquete Mendillorri Sports Center in Pamplona, which hosted more than 150 participants.
The Ribera Navarra athletes won 7 metals, whose first place went to Álex Ramírez, weighing -42 kilos, winning the final over his clubmate Jeyzan Orta, who had to settle for silver. The two -38 kilo representatives reached the final unstoppable. Dasha Mulyk gave a beautiful Ippon (highest Seoi-nage score) to her partner Paula Lasanta, so the gold and silver were also shared.
In the male category of less than 38 kilos, 3 members of Ribera Navarra also coincided. Aitor Escribano and Izan Arrondo faced each other in the semifinal, the latter managing to sneak into the final by ippon, and later obtain silver. Aitor stayed in third place in the play-off, and his clubmate Héctor Lapeña was left without the first positions, since he lost in the first round and did not have the option of a play-off.
On the other hand, Adriana Planillo in less than 30 kilograms, came in third position, in her debut as a competitor.
