Sebastián Báez wins the Argentine final in Rio de Janeiro

Argentine tennis player Sebastián Báez defeated his compatriot Mariano Navone (6-2, 6-1) this Sunday in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Rio de Janeiro, the most important title of his career.

The Argentine final in Brazil was won by Báez with authority in just over an hour, dominating each set from the beginning to see himself 4-0 in favor in both. The script was identical in both rounds, finished off by Báez with a third break to lift the title.

After four ATP 250 titles, three in 2023, Báez won his fifth title and is the active Argentine tennis player with the most ATP trophies at just 23 years old. Báez also secured the best position of his career in the world ranking: number 21.
