South Africa-DR Congo: at what time, on which channel to follow the match for 3rd place in CAN 2024?

The CAN 2024 will deliver a poster for the bronze medal between deeply disappointed teams. Both eliminated at the door of the final, the DR Congo and South Africa will want to fill the frustration by seeking a 3rd place which is always good to take.

On both sides, the course was almost faultless. Bafana Bafana came second in their groups behind Mali. Ronwen Williams’ teammates created a surprise in the 8th against the Moroccan favorites (2-0) before qualifying after the suspense in the quarter-final against Cape Verde (0-0, 2 shots on goal to 1) . In the semi-final, South Africa stumbled upon the Nigerian obstacle and lost during an unbearable penalty shootout (1-1, 4-2 on penalties).

Facing them, the DR Congo presents itself with the desire to forget the infuriating defeat against the Ivory Coast in the semi-final (0-1). Until then, the Leopards’ journey had been remarkable. Coming second in a complicated group which included Morocco and Zambia, Sébastien Desabre’s men achieved a small feat against Egypt in the 8th (1-1, 8-7 on the tabs) before winning in fine style in the quarter against Guinea (3-1).

These are therefore two teams in good form who will have to overcome the disappointment of the semi-final to hope to win on the pitch of the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny stadium.

The South Africa-DR Congo kick-off will be given on Saturday February 10 at 9 p.m., on the channel beIN Sports 1 and live commentary on leparisien.fr.
