Steph Curry Speaks on Potential Retirement at NBA All-Star Game

Basketball superstar Steph Curry (35) spoke about a possible end to his career at the NBA All-Star Game. The best three-point shooter in league history gave the first insight into his thoughts on the subject of retirement.

Curry after the All-Star Game on Sunday: “I think about it all the time. But the thoughts stop because you have to prepare for the next game and there is a routine and a cycle where you get involved in the now.”

He continues: “Eventually you get to a point where you wake up and your body and your mind tell you, ‘It’s time,’ but I don’t think I’m anywhere near that.”

Curry played his tenth All-Star Game together with basketball veterans such as NBA icon LeBron James (39/Lakers) and Kevin Durant (35/Phoenix Suns). He had to admit defeat with the Western team but the Eastern Conference with 186:211.

There is no doubt that Curry still belongs on the court. This season, the guard is averaging 28 points per game. There are also five assists. His three-point rate is still an insane 42.1 percent.

Although the Warriors’ golden days are slowly over, Curry is still the big superstar at Golden State. The team is seeded tenth and will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The Warriors have won eight of their last ten games.
