BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID – Should we read into the fact that Jorge Martin topped the timesheets after the first day of the Sepang MotoGP test?
Despite the fact that Martin is still very motivated to show Ducati the big mistake they made by not promoting him to the factory team, either at the end of 2022 or after fighting for the title with Pecco Bagnaia all the way to the final round.
2023 Jorge Martin wanted to make his point, so he did.
The complete 2024 MotoGP race schedule which will be broadcast on Trans7 TV station will take place next month, to be precise on Sunday, March 10 2024.
What about Pedro Acosta? Of course, he was fastest against test riders and factory riders on Japanese bikes during the shakedown, but that’s not a true comparison.

He didn’t ride against a full grid then.
He is today. And Pedro Acosta ended the day just a quarter of a second behind Martin, and ahead of everyone else.
Does that mean he is a force to be reckoned with?
The GASGAS racer himself wasn’t in much of a hurry.
His focus, he stressed, is to improve every time he plays at the back. Mission accomplished so far.
As reported by Motomatters, the final standings on the first day of the Sepang test do not tell the complete story.
Few riders strive to get really fast laps, and there’s a lot of work to be done.
The fact that Acosta had an extra day on the bike and track helped. But even with all these extenuating circumstances, coming within three tenths of Jorge Martin is an impressive feat.
There’s definitely more to come from Acosta, but the question is, how soon it will come.
