The Black Eagle Martial Arts School Dominates Champions Day in 2024 Tournament

The Black Eagle martial arts school from Göllheim started the 2024 season at Champions Day with 24 participants in Neuwied. The results were impressive: at the end of the tournament, the honor cup was awarded to the largest participating sports school as well as six gold, ten silver and eleven bronze medals Beech. This made the Black Eagles the most successful school in the tournament.

Enny Grams from Zellertal won gold in the class up to 25 kilograms and bronze in the female youth class up to 30 kilograms. She was able to secure silver in karate/kata. 14-year-old Carl Bollwerk and his little brother Collin (8) demonstrated karate to perfection. Both left the competition far behind and each won gold.

Melia Böckel from Sippersfeld was able to achieve second place in karate. Christian Kunz from Göllheim fought for second place against a world-class opponent from Kaiserslautern. Malik Braun from Ramsen won bronze in karate and silver in kickboxing. Lilly Weber from Eisenberg won gold in karate and bronze in kickboxing in the over 45 kilo class. Hannah Barbara from Ramsen secured bronze in karate.

Once gold, once silver for Lennox Cantstetter

The fighter of the day was probably kickboxer Lennox Cantstetter from Eisenberg, who showed a fighting spirit that was worth seeing. All of his opponents were much taller and heavier than him, but that didn’t slow him down. The reward was one gold and one silver. Jonas Gelhausen from Grünstadt finished third in kickboxing. His brother Niklas took third place in the class up to 60 kilos and second place (-65 kg). Amy Koukouvestos from Offstein won bronze in kickboxing, as did Damian Sann from Winnweiler. Mila Vonderschmidt from Flörsheim secured third place in karate and kickboxing. Hülya Gökkaya from Eisenberg secured silver. She narrowly lost in the final. Her brother Salim won bronze.

Lukas Helbig from Kirchheimbolanden was not able to prevail as usual. Second place in grappling and bronze in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu were his results that day. Newcomer Klaus Pszczola from Rockenhausen won bronze at his first tournament. Mia Andrews from Quirnheim – also for the first time at a tournament – ​​won bronze in karate. Ashley Glanzdorf from Rodenbach won silver in the female youth category.

Elias Kastner from Göllheim competed in three weight classes in kickboxing. He took victory in the classes up to 60 kilos and up to 65 kilos. He also tried out in the upper class up to 70 kilos and was able to land on the winner’s podium again with third place despite the large weight difference. Overall, it was a successful start to the new year for the Black Eagles in a tournament with almost 500 starts.
