The Chacarita brave bar fired this Monday inside the playing field from its stadium to the fan murdered last Saturday during a confrontation between Barrabrava factions during the first round match of the Primera Nacional against Deportivo Maipú de Mendoza.
The 43-year-old man was walked through the grass of the field inside his coffin by dozens of Funebrero fans who carried him singing grandstand songs, along with flags and even wind instruments.
The video showing the striking scene was spread through social networks and the supporters of the San Martín team expressed their indignation at what happened. “Now we will never play on our court again,” some said.
Jorge Daniel Durán had entered the Belgrano de San Andrés hospital with his son with vital signs although with a stab wound to the chest. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the fan died on Saturday.
The chaos of Chacarita took him to the stadium after Durán has been previously watched by family and friends.
He club presidentNéstor Di Pierro, went to the wake room to deliver his condolences and greet “family and friends of a lifelong Chaca fan,” as he said in statements to the press.
The attack occurred in the context of a brawl between two factions of the brave bar, “The Famous Band” and “We are family”.
