Victor Wembanyama Joins Louis Vuitton as Brand Ambassador: A New Financial Dimension

After joining the fold of Nike just after his NBA draft, Victor Wembanyama has just formalized his new role as ambassador for the French brand Louis Vuitton.

New proof that Victor Wembanyama is, at just 20 years old, one of the most bankable French athletes in the world. Already under contract with Nike, the No. 1 of the 2023 draft joins the French brand Louis Vuitton as an ambassador.

“I wanted a meaningful partnership,” explains the new phenomenon of world basketball in the columns of GQ. “For me, it made a lot of sense to partner with LV. You know, French excellence. Expertise is something that appeals to me a lot.”

A new financial dimension since its draft

“I’m tall, but I’m also quite thin, so I’ve always had a hard time finding clothes that fit me,” continues Wembanyama, 2.24m tall. “But now fans can expect this that I wear beautiful clothes, which used to be a struggle in my life, but is now possible thanks to LV.”

The amount of this commercial collaboration has not been leaked. Since his draft last June, the San Antonio Spurs interior has entered a whole new financial dimension. While he received around 20,000 euros per month in Boulogne-Levallois, his income exploded. According to the site Hoopshype, a reference in the field, the Frenchman earns around 12 million dollars (11.1 million euros) over the 2023-2024 season. Until 2027, his salary will gradually increase: 12.7 million dollars in 2024-2025, 13.3 million in 2025-2026 then 16.8 million in 2026-2027.
