(18+24+15+21): Puerto (2), Jones (15), Anderson (6), Inglis (13), Davies (7) – starting five -, Harper (0), Claver (10), Pradilla (2), Arostegui (4), Robertson (0), Ojeleye (19), Pangos (0).(18+19+22+29): Satoransky (6), Jokubaitis (2), Kalinic (13), Parker (12), Vesely (21) – starting five -, Brizuela (2), Ricky (3), Willy (8), Laprovittola (13), Abrines (0), Parra (8)

An irreducible Vesely (21 points without a single failure in the shot, with 10 out of 10) led a Barça that only faltered in the second quarter to end up imposing its game. Laprovittola (11), Kalinic (13) and Parker (12) were the perfect complement for the Czech.

After a ‘hot’ start with a technical on Kalinic after throwing a ball to Davies, Barça started the match like a shot, scoring practically everything they threw in the first minutes, with 8 points from Vesely and 6 from Parker, to take a first lead (6-14).

Good defense from the Blaugrana, who tied up Jones and Pangos, who had to enter the duel quickly due to the dominance of Satoransky and Jokubaitis that had new ownership. A Barça start at two speeds more than Mumbrú’s (6-16).

Barça’s intensity led Grimau to move the bench, with the entry of Willy and a standing ovation for Ricky Rubio, in his first intervention in the game. Valencia took advantage of the fouls to go tol free kick and reduce the differences (12-16).

Valencia reacts

An 8-0 run with Inglis dominating the attack led Grimau to call his first timeout (14-16). The defense had to be rebuilt. But the Valencians finished the quarter better to tie the game (18-18).

As if the game were starting again, Valencia gave a completely different image, very fast in their actions without Barça managing to match their level. In one fell swoop, They turned the score around with an effective Ojeleye (32-26).

Grimau had to seat Willy and Ricky and the entry of Satoransky, Vesely and Brizuela, allowed the azulgrana to go one step further and get closer to the ‘taronja’, very active, with Jones, Harper, who left with three fouls and Davies (34-33).

Barça does not react

The best news is that Valencia did not score a triple (1 of 14) and that benefited the Blaugrana who did not let the locals escape. But giving so many options in the triple with eight turnovers, Jones finally scored and gave Valencia the maximum (41-35).

Willy and Ricky returned to the court again for the last moments of the quarter, but Valencia, better in these 10 minuteswent into the break ahead fairly (42-37).

At the beginning of the third quarter, It was Barça who entered the game better with a partial score of 0-5, thanks to the Barça defense that made the ‘taronja’ lose four balls. The Blaugrana turned it around with Parker taking the reins in attack and an infallible Vesely (46-49).

Although Valencia ended up waking up with the points from Inglis who responded to the Blaugrana arreón with Jones, to keep the match completely open (54-54 m.28). Willy gave Vesely a rest and Laprovittola came on for the last two minutes of the quarter.

A triple from Parra and Two points from Willy gave the Blaugrana some breathing room (54-59) although Valencia responded with two plus one from Ojeleleye and the duel reached the end of the quarter with a small lead for Barça (57-59).

Adjusted ending

With Ricky on the court and scoring alongside Willy, Barça found an offensive vein with a 7-0 run which allowed him to change the dynamic at the beginning of the period (60-66) and forced Mumbrú to stop the duel. Valencia was charged with four fouls in just two minutes and the rest of the game, a free kick.

The Barça roller came out in the shot, and with two consecutive triples from Kalinic and Laprovittola, very free in their shots, Barça achieved its maximum income (63-76) in a key moment with 6:52 left. A 0-10 partial that did a lot of damage to the locals.

Grimau returned Vesely, Satoransky and Parker to the track to try to close the match despite Valencia’s attempts to get closer (72-79). And in those hot minutes, Barça knew how to maintain control and take a great victory to remain second in the Euroleague (78-88)
