BVB is apparently chasing defender Dean Huijsen from Juventus

Borussia Dortmund is apparently interested in Dean Huijsen – the 18-year-old central defender is currently on loan from Juventus Turin to AS Roma, where he recently played regularly. According to the Italian Tuttosport, BVB scouts have already observed Huijsen several times.

Roma wanted to sign him permanently after the loan ended in the summer, but didn’t have the financial means to do so. According to the report, Juve are demanding €30-35 million for Huijsen. He could replace Mats Hummels at BVB in the long term; the 35-year-old’s contract expires in the summer.

Huijsen has played twelve competitive games for Roma so far, in which he scored two goals and one assist. Although he was born in Amsterdam, he recently plays for the Spanish U21 national team. Huijsen spent large parts of his youth in Spain.
