Carlos Sainz Jr emerge as the winner F1 GP Australia 2024. Ferrari took control of the top two positions after Charles Leclerc finished second, ahead of Lando Norris.

In the race at the Albert Park Circuit, Sunday (24/3/2024) afternoon WIB, Carlos Sainz took advantage of Max Verstappen, who failed to finish at the start of the race. Sainz completed the 58 lap race with a lead of 2.366 seconds over Leclerc.

This result also ended the Prancing Horse’s fast for victory. Before Australia, the last time Ferrari won in Singapore was last year, also presented by Carlos Sainz.

Carlos Sainz overtook Verstappen in the second lap to take over the lead. Quoted by Crash, the Red Bull racer experienced damage to his car’s engine, causing it to emit smoke.

Leclerc is entitled to second place while Norris completes the podium. Home racer Oscar Piastri finished the race in fourth position, ahead of Sergio Perez.

Aston Martin duo Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll are ranked sixth and seventh. Meanwhile Yuki Tsonoda, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen filled positions eight to ten respectively.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton also had bad luck. This Mercedes racer was also forced to retire after experiencing engine failure in the early phase of the Australian GP F1 race.

Max Verstappen still tops the 2024 F1 standings with 51 points from three series. The Dutch racer was overshadowed by Leclerc after scoring 47 points, and Sergio Perez was in third place with 46 points.
