CB Genovés and wheelchair basketball have joined their paths again. The club and the town of La Costera have hosted the concentration of the ADIV-UPV wheelchair basketball team, which will compete in the play-off for promotion to the 1st Division. Last Saturday, CB Genovés and the Valencian team met again at the Paco Cabanes El Genovés municipal pavilion, which hosted an event with wheelchair basketball as the protagonist.

The pavilion was the headquarters of the ADIV-UPV concentration to prepare for the play-offs for promotion to the 1st Division. More than a decade later, a Valencian team is fighting again for promotion and Genovés has been the protagonist in this process.
The Valencian team concentrated throughout the day in the pavilion to carry out a double day of training and thus prepare a tie that would allow them, next season, to play in a higher category at the state level.
The CB Genovés has highlighted the synergy between two entities “that are dedicated to the same sport, one to foot basketball and the other to wheelchair basketball” and highlight “beneficial results that exceeded expectations.” The club states that “we are convinced of the tool we have with sport, in our case with basketball. We have to be the mirror of future generations and in this way we want to transmit it with gestures like the one we have shown this weekend.
