The Euro 2024 groups have been drawn and the the full fixture calendar is set. From fixtures to venues, here’s all you need to know about this summer’s tournament…

Where and when will Euro 2024 be held?

Euro 2024 will take place from Friday June 14 to Sunday July 14 2024.

Germany are the host nation and qualified automatically. West Germany hosted the tournament back in 1988, but this will be the first time Germany has staged the European Championship since reunification.

In total, 24 teams will take part in the tournament, with 21 of those teams known.

Three further teams with progress through the play-offs, with Wales hoping to join England and Scotland at the finals.

What are the Euro 2024 groups?

Group A – Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

Group B – Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania

Group C – Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

Group D – Play-off winner A (Potentially Wales), Netherlands, Austria, France

Group E – Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Play-off winner B

Group F – Turkey, Play-off winner C, Portugal, Czech Republic

Wales are now one win away from qualifying for Euro 2024 after they beat Finland 4-1 in the play-off semi-final in Cardiff.

Rob Page’s side will now host either Poland – again in Cardiff – to play for a spot at next summer’s tournament in Germany.

Wales are attempting to navigate Path A of the play-offs. In Path B, Iceland – who knocked out 10-player Israel with a 4-1 win on Thursday – will now face Ukraine in the final on Tuesday.

Ukraine scored in the 85th and 88th minutes to seal a 2-1 comeback win away to Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Greece thrashed Kazakhstan 5-0 in Path C, and play Georgia for a place in the tournament this summer.

So the final play-off fixtures are:

  • Wales vs Poland
  • Ukraine vs Iceland
  • Georgia vs Greece

What is the Euro 2024 schedule and format?

The top two teams from each of the six final tournament groups will proceed to the round of 16 along with the four best third-placed finishers.
