Football: These are all the notes for the 27th round of the Super League

1/8

The whole team was inadequate, Fabian Frei (l.) received a grade of 2. Taulant Xhaka (r.) could possibly have helped the Basel team, but was not in action.

Under new coach Joël Magnin, YB gets rid of their frustration against FCB. Several Bernese offensive players shone at the 5-1 gala. So did Monteiro, who made it 1-0 after just over a minute.

The Basel sleepyheads’ entire defense is failing. Symbolic of the FCB appearance is Veiga, who refused to work when the fourth goal was conceded shortly before half-time. Striker Barry is still the best FCB player, but his goal isn’t enough to get a passing grade.

Servette – Lausanne 3:1

Servette captain Steve Rouiller once again delivers a solid performance. Dereck Kutesa, on the other hand, has faltered a bit. Dylan Bronn, who is not allowed to play in Europe, picks up the yellow-red card after applauding the referee.

For the Lausanne team, Simone Pafundi can celebrate his first goal, but remains largely invisible. The best man on the pitch for the Vaudois side is Karlo Letica. The Croatian keeper made several first-class saves. On the other hand, it was an afternoon to forget for Jamie Roche, who was responsible for the penalty that gave Geneva the lead again in the final phase.

Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy – Luzern 2:1

Ismaël Gharbi is the best SLO player on the pitch. He is technically very good and holds his own in one-on-one situations. With his goal and his pass to make it 2-0, he puts SLO on the road to victory. Goalkeeper Jérémy Vachoux showed a strong performance and saved his team from falling behind several times in the first half.

On the Lucerne side, Adrian Grbic failed, who missed the goal of the year in the first minute of the game and was no longer visible after that. Sofyan Chader put in a strong performance until he was substituted due to injury. Teddy Okou brings the FCL back into the game against his former club with his connecting goal.

A strong goalkeeper (Bernardoni) who saves a penalty and three good offensive players (Cespedes, Corness and Carlos) who score the goals up front are enough for Yverdon to defeat FCZ.

At FCZ, in addition to the attackers Marchesano and Okita – who also negligently missed the penalty – two of four defenders (Katic, Dante) also failed.

Yverdon – FCZ 3:2: Miserable! FCZ-Okita misses the penalty and margin shot (03:04)

GC coach Bruno Berner starts ultra-offensive on the Schützenwiese: there are five strikers in the starting line-up, including the newcomers Batista Meier and Kameri. The former is not convincing and seems like a foreign body. Although what is shown is overall appealing, the plan moving forward as to how the Hoppers will get the urgently needed goals is not clear.

On the other hand, Winterthur shows a calm performance – and in the person of super sprinter Nishan Burkart, strikes exactly at the moment when the Hoppers open up at the back. In the end, the Winti points 16 to 18 this year are deserved, even if Matteo Di Giusto had a bad day and Sayfallah Ltaief had a mixed day. But that’s what Burkart is for.

Winterthur – GC 2:0: Burkart circles the ball beautifully into the corner (03:07)

St. Gallen – Lugano 2:3

The Luganesi convince with a strong collective. Uran Bislimi stands out with his winning goal to make it 3-2 and the assist to make it 2-2. The Lugano strikers Zan Celar and Mattia Bottani miss the grade 5 because they ultimately miss too many (top) chances.

St. Gallen’s otherwise strong central defender duo Abdoulaye Diaby and Albert Vallci had a bad evening, looked very bad when they conceded 1:1 (Vallci) and 2:3 (Diaby) and also had a difficult time against Celar and Bottani. But there was also not enough from the offensive FCSG midfield in the deserved defeat.
