Carlos Sainz will have to be operated on. It was communicated by Ferrari: “He has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will need surgery. Starting from FP3 and for the rest of the weekend, he will be replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman. Oliver will therefore no longer take part in this round of the F2 Championship. The Ferrari family wishes Carlos a speedy recovery“.
Sainz underwent surgery, all we know
For now, not much is known about Sainz’s condition, except that the Spanish driver had suffered health problems a few days ago. There was talk of illness with fever but no further details were given. Now he will have surgery, there is still no certainty as to when he will be able to return to the track.
