Mexican National Archery Team Formed for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The Mexican national archery team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was formed after five days of competition at the National Center for Talent Development and High Performance (CNAR).

We recommend: Stephanie Vaquer triumphs in Japan and is the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion

Conade shared on social networks that the 2024 selection came to an end, thus defining the six archers who will be competing in the Parisian capital.

In the women’s branch there will be Alejandra Valencia, Ana Paula Vázquez and Ángela Ruiz. In comparison to Tokyo 2020, Aída Román — a medalist in London 2012 and who was looking for her fifth Games — finished in fourth place, so she will not be able to accompany Valencia and Vázquez, and Ruiz took her place.

In the men’s category, the qualifiers are Matías Grande, Javier Rojas and Bruno Martínez who will be looking for a medal. In Tokyo, the only representative was Luis Álvarez, who won a bronze.

It should be noted that the women’s team already has its ticket guaranteed for the Olympic Games, just as Mexico individually already has its presence assured.

On the other hand, the men’s team will seek their ticket to Paris 2024 from April 7 to 13 at the Pan American Championships in Medellín, this being their last opportunity to obtain. Individually, only Matías Grande is classified.
