Pan American Judo returns to Varadero, Cuba, with tournaments that will give points to País 2024
Varadero, Cuba, will host Judo tournaments that will award points for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, announced the Pan American Judo Confederation (CPJ).
Through a statement, CPJ reported that from April 4 to 7, this place will witness the exciting return of Pan American judo with the Pan American Open events, Pan American Cadet Cup – Junior and Ronaldo Veitia Cup under 13 – under 15.
Athletes from countries such as Cuba, Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Peru, Mexico, Poland, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Haiti will compete for coveted medals at the convention center of the Meliá Internacional Varadero Hotel.
Highlighting some key points, the Pan American Open will be a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, while the Cadet Junior Pan American Cup will be decisive in the qualification process for the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games. It is important to note that the latter The event represents the first qualifying stage for these games, in addition to contributing points to the global ranking of the World Judo Federation.
The second edition of the Ronaldo Veitía Cup will stand out, in memory of one of the most outstanding figures in Cuban and world judo, Professor Ronaldo Veitía. This cup offers a unique opportunity to witness how young athletes take their first steps towards international events.
