Paris Basketball Extends Winning Streak to Ten Games, Prepares for Eurocup Quarter-Final

Ten in a row. Five days before its Eurocup quarter-final at the Adidas Arena against Badalone (Spain), Paris Basketball confirmed its momentum, Saturday evening in Dijon, and won (72-80) for the fifth time in continuation in Betclic Elite, the tenth in all competitions since January 27.

With this success, the Parisians join Bourg, beaten at home by Cholet (78-80), in third place in the ranking. The recent Leaders Cup winners led from start to finish against the Burgundians, who played without a professional playmaker. While David Holston is out for several weeks, Ahmad Caver suffered an ankle injury after one minute and twenty seconds of play and did not return to the field.

The JDA suffered the blow (15-24, 10th) before reacting in the second quarter and coming back to five points at the break (43-38). But Paris, dominating rebounds (16 offensive rebounds to 10) with a double-double from Leon Kratzer (10 points, 13 rebounds) never really trembled, despite a final close from Dijon as the last minute approached.

A technical foul whistled at coach Laurent Legname, who called for an eight-second violation on a ball from Paris, and a basket in the wake of TJ Shorts (14 points, 7 assists) definitively sounded the death knell for the last hopes of Dijon.

Cameron Hunt’s JDA (23 points) concedes a third defeat in a row in all competitions, the second at home after the visit of Asvel, Sunday March 3 (71-73).
