RSU/MSG defeated “University of Tartu”/”Bigbank” (TU/”Bigbank”) team 3-1 (25:22, 20:25, 25:21, 25:19) in the volleyball finals of Tallinn University of Technology.

In the Riga team, Karmena Struka scored 16 points, who also added a point to the match with a trick shot, Agija Ankevica scored 11 points, and Alise Juršane-Piņke, who had five blocks, Anna Kovala and Katrīna Struka scored 10 each.

Laura Līsa Maiste was the top scorer in the Estonian team with 12 points.

In the first and third sets, the players from Riga did not allow the Estonian team to take the lead, but TU/”Bigbank” won the second set, trailing by 15:17.

In the fourth set, the Estonian women took the lead with 8:3, but the second half of the set was better played by the Riga women.

“TalTech” of Tallinn beat “Rae Spordikool”/”Viaston” 3-1 (25:20, 25:19, 22:25, 25:16) in the game for the third place on Saturday.

For the winners, Nete Peita scored 22 points and Ketrína Pelda scored 20 points, without Raes, Silvia Pertens scored 16 points and was the most productive in the team.

On Friday, in the semifinals, RSU/MSG defeated the winner of the main tournament and the organizer of the tournament, “TalTech” of Tallinn, and “University of Tartu”/”Bigbank” with 3-2 (27:25, 18:25, 25:22, 25:22). (22:25, 25:23, 27:25, 17:25, 15:10) – “Rae Spordikool”/”Viaston”.

BSVL from Riga won their place in the final four, defeating “Rīgas Volleyball School”/”University of Latvia” (RVS/LU) 3-2 and 3-0 in a duel between two Riga teams.

RSU/MSG was ranked sixth in the main tournament, while the Tallinn team took fifth place. This season, the two teams had met twice, with the teams exchanging 3-0 victories at home.

It has already been reported that the bronze medals of the Baltic Men’s Volleyball League (BVVL) were won by Jēkabpils “Lūši”, which defeated “Ezerzeme”/”Daugavpils University” 3-0 (25:18, 25:19, 25:22).
