The adventure of the French rugby sevens team continues, on the other side of the Atlantic. The French selection, which includes star Antoine Dupont in its ranks, is qualified for the semi-finals of the Seven tournament in Los Angeles in the United States. This Sunday, the Blues will face Ireland, and will therefore try to win the final of this competition.
So far, France’s journey has been almost perfect. Apart from a defeat against Fiji (10-14) in the last match of the group phase, the Blues defeated Canada (24-7) and Great Britain (19-12). In the quarter-finals, Dupont’s teammates easily defeated the host country, in this case the United States (0-14).
Opposite, Ireland’s journey has been a little more uneven. During the groups, the Irish certainly won against South Africa (17-0), but suffered two losses against Spain (14-19) and Argentina (26-14).
Still qualified for the rest of the tournament, Ireland took their revenge on the Argentines during the quarters (24-14).
The semi-final of the Los Angeles Sevens tournament between the French rugby sevens team and Ireland will be followed on Sunday March 3, from 11:08 p.m. The match is not available on television, but is broadcast for free via online platforms like France.tv and RugbyPass TV.
