This time the medals of Sardinian athletes at the Italian U15 Freestyle Wrestling Championships, held in Ostia, arrive from the men’s side.
Silver for Leonardo Pinna in the 86 kg category. The Extreme Piroddu athlete, trained by Mario Piroddu, lost only the fourth and final fight, that of the final against the Livorno representative Chiavacci.
Extreme Piroddu also obtained bronze with Alessandro Masia in the 85 kg, thanks to the victory in the semi-final over Pagliarulo from Salerno.
The Shardana Lotta of Silanus coached by Ymbre Cocco obtained the other silver, with Nicolò Cadoni in the 41 kg, who in the final fight was defeated by the Lombard Daniel Rosca.
Other relevant results for the Sardinian athletes: fifth place for Rubiu Mattia in the 52 kg, from the Yaoki DoJo Club of Villagrande, and another fifth place for Madeddu Andrea in the 68 kg from the Shardana Judo Lotta Silanus club.
